Hello there! My name is Sarah Hingorani (Hing (rhymes with ring) -oh-raw-knee), and I am currently a senior at Notre Dame High School, Belmont. At school, I am currently involved in our chorus (which is something that I have done since my first year at NDB), and I am also a Link Crew leader.
One of my greatest passions in life is music, which is something that I have been doing since the age of five. I show my love for music by playing the piano (which started my passion), singing in chorus inside and outside of school, and listening to music. A second passion that I have is baking, and I will bake sweet treats, mostly cupcakes, whenever I get a chance for somebody's birthday. I also enjoy taking pictures of landscapes, as you will see throughout my blog (in fact, the main cover page is one of the photos I took in Germany!).
A few fun facts about myself include:

A few fun facts about myself include:
- I have two older brothers, one of which is married, as well as a dog named Rocco.
- This summer, my chorus group (Peninsula Girls Chorus) traveled to Australia and participated in the Australian International Music Festival. We performed in many venues, including the Sydney Opera House, The Sydney Town Hall, The Conservatorium of of Music, and a few local churches.
- I have perfect pitch, which means I am able to name any note that somebody gives me.
- I have the strange ability of raising one eyebrow at a time.
- I am naturally left-handed, but was raised to write with my right hand. For that reason, I am able to do most things only with my left hand.
The reason that I decided to take Environmental Science is because of my love for our planet. I want to learn more about the severe impacts of environmental issues like global climate change, deforestation, water pollution, and so much more, and how they affect our daily lives and ecosystems. For this course, I hope to gain a better understanding of the environmental problems that surround us and learn how I, as a growing individual, can help reduce these effects. I want this class experience to affect my life by opening my eyes and mind to the world that surrounds me, and to motivate me to make better contributions to bring awareness of what our environment is experiencing. I also hope that I can make connections to how environmental issues are affecting our future generations to come, whether it be the way they live or what types of genetic mutations can be brought about because of the excessive amounts of greenhouse gases being emitted today.
